Data point licenses

If data points are used in widgets, they use specific licenses. On this page, you will find an overview of all widgets and the data point license they require.

If you receive notifications on the user interface that you don’t have the required licenses or that the existing licenses have been exceeded, you can purchase them directly on the configuration page of the device on which those data points are located.

Go to the configuration page of the respective device, scroll down to the Licenses card and click on the Shop button. You will be redirected to the Avelon shop where you can purchase additional license packages.

License	Description
Heads-up!	This license is required for data points that can raise alarms. Alarms will usually trigger an alarm chain and send notifications to users by email, text message or push notification.
Operate	This license is required for data points that can be used to control devices or plants. For example, if you want to interact with the data points on a Schematic widget in order to change their value.
Energy Management	This license is required for data points that are used on Chart widgets.
Energy Reporting	This license is required for data points that are used in Avelon Reporting. Note that data points that use an Energy Reporting license also require a corresponding Energy Management license.

¹ Data points count as Energy Management as well as Energy Reporting if an Energy Reporting license was purchased.

² The alerting feature of plausibility checks requires a Heads-up! license.

⁴ If the data point is not already used in another widget that requires Energy Management or Operate: Energy Management if there is no Operate license but an Energy Management license available, Operate otherwise.
