Avelon Connect

With Avelon Connect you can connect to your devices via VPN. To use the program, proceed as follows:

Install app

  1. Download Avelon Connect by logging in to Avelon Cloud and then going to the user menu and selecting Download Apps.

  2. Select Avelon Connect to download the latest version. Save the installation program on your computer and run it to install the application.

  3. If the program does not start automatically, start it manually after the installation is complete. You can tell whether the program is running by the avelon-connect-tray-icon icon that appears in the Windows notification area (to the right of the system clock). Log in with your Avelon user account to gain access to your devices.

Purchase license

An “Avelon Connect (Remote Access)” license is required on the device in order to connect to it via VPN. Only devices with this license will appear in the app.

To purchase the license, go to the configuration page of your device, expand the Licenses card and click on Shop. Then select “Avelon Connect (remote access)” / “Avelon Connect - VPN client” and complete the ordering process.

Authorize users

To grant remote access to the device for specific users, you’ll need to assign the appropriate user groups on the card Device Access on the configuration page of the respective device.

In addition, the users must have a user role with the action right “Remote access to devices via Avelon Connect”.
