Edit measurements

If you find an incorrect measurement, you can flag it as faulty. Faulty values are not deleted from the database, but they will be ignored in chart widgets, data point calculations or ESG/media reporting.

To do so, select the affected measurement(s) and click the More icon in the Measurements table in the center of the screen and then click on Edit Measurements.

In the dialog, you have the option to change the following properties of the selected measurement:

Provide a new value

You can modify the value if necessary. Doing so will change the value of the measurement, but the old value will still be accessible in the history for auditing purposes.

Change the state

You can change the state of the measurement according to the Metering Code Schweiz. Note that only measurements with the state “True value” or “Substitute value” will be displayed in chart widgets or used in data point calculations and ESG/media reporting.

Ignore in anomaly checks

If you want a value to be ignored from anomaly checks, you can enable the option Ignore in Anomaly Checks. Values that are ignored in anomaly checks will not be taken into account as the system tries to detect anomalies for this data point. They will, however, still be included in calculations, energy management or chart widgets, as long as their state is “True value” or “Substitute value”.

Whenever you edit an existing measurement, you must provide a reason for the change before you can save the changes. This text will be added as a comment to the history of the value, so that you can always see when and why the value was modified. When you confirm the dialog with Change, the selected measurements are updated accordingly, and a new entry is added to the Value History table for all selected measurements.

Add substitute value

To replace an existing measurement with a substitute value, for example because the original measurement is incorrect, first select the affected measurement in the list at the bottom left. On the right-hand side, all changes that have already been made to this measurement appear in the Value History list. If no changes have yet been made, only one entry appears in the list.

Select the measurement for which you want to add a substitute value and click the More icon in the center of the screen, in the Measurements table and then click on Edit Measurements. Enter the substitute value, and under State, select the Substitute Value option (or another applicable option according to Metering Code Schweiz) and enter a short comment as to why you entered the substitute value.

The substitute value then appears in the Value History list and the substitute value is displayed in the diagram instead of the previous value.
