Remote access

On the Remote access card on the Connectivity page, you can see the current status of the remote access service:

Setting	Description
Enabled (permanent)	Remote access is permanently allowed.
Enabled (schedule)	Remote access is currently allowed based on the schedule.
Disabled (permanent)	Remote access is permanently blocked.
Disabled (schedule)	Remote access is currently blocked based on the schedule.

Enable or disable remote access

To enable or disable remote access, you can start or stop the Remote access service on the Services page.

Warning

If you are currently accessing the web interface of the Beetle remotely, you may lose the connection to it when you stop the remote access service.

Port forwarding

Port forwarding can be set up to make local services available to the outside world via VPN. Please note that these rules are only active if remote access is enabled.

Setting	Description
Rule name	Give the forwarding rule a descriptive name.
Beetle source port	The local port of the desired service on the Beetle.
Target address	The target IP under which the service shall be available.
Target port	The target port of the service under which the service shall be available.
Protocol	Transmission protocol (TCP or UDP)
