Safety

This chapter contains relevant information for safe operation of the Beetle (hereinafter referred to as “device”).

Be sure to read the following instructions. Damage caused by not following the operating instructions invalidates the warranty. We accept no liability for consequential damage resulting from this. We accept no liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper handling or failure to observe the safety and danger instructions.

Regulations

  • Installations on the device may only be carried out by trained personnel in compliance with the ESD guidelines.

  • For safety and approval reasons (CE), unauthorised modifications and/or conversions of the unit is not permitted. The warranty becomes invalid in the event of wilful mechanical damage or electrical changes (modifications) to the device.

Safety Instructions

  • Connection points can be live.

  • Capacitors in the unit may still be charged even if the unit has been disconnected from all power sources.

  • Do not operate the unit in rooms or in adverse ambient conditions in which flammable gases, vapours or dust are present or may be present. Avoid operating the unit in the immediate vicinity of electromagnetic or static fields and transmitting antennas, as this may result in incorrect applications.

  • If it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must be taken out of service and secured against inadvertent operation.

Precautions

  • Avoid strong mechanical stress.

  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or high humidity.

  • Never switch on the unit immediately after moving it from a cold room to a warm room. The condensation which occurs during this process may destroy the unit. Allow the unit to reach room temperature when switched off.

Disposal

Your product is marked with this symbol. It means that electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste, but must be sent to a separate collection system.
