MQTT Objects
This tab provides access to the collections and variables on the controller.
The collections are displayed in the sidebar on the left. Selecting a collection will show its variable descriptions and their properties on the right.
- Tag
A string that uniquely identifies a variable in a collection. This corresponds to the name of the value tag without the type suffix.
For example, if the variable has a value tag named
FlowTemperature_rPV
and a state tag namedFlowTemperature_uiState
, the tag value here will beFlowTemperature
.- Unit
The unit of the variable’s value.
- Type
A numeric representation of the function, data point and parameter of the variable.
- Time
The timestamp of the last received value.
- Value
The value that was last received from the controller.
Create real estate
The system can create a real estate in the group tree for you based on the location information from the BuildingState
collection.
Click on More ▸ Create Real Estate.
The location information from the BuildingState
collection is displayed.
Enter the name of the new real estate.
In the Real Estate Parent field, you can choose where in the group tree the new real estate should be added.
If you don’t select a specific parent group, it will be added as a top-level group.
Check and modify the remaining details and click on Create to create the new real estate.
Update device location
Every WAGO controller contains location information of the building it’s controlling. To update the location of the device with this information, click on More ▸ Update Device Location. You will see the location information from the building state collection in a new dialog, where you can either confirm it or edit it before confirming. By clicking on Update, the location of the device will be updated accordingly.
Note that the information in the building state collection won’t be affected by this change.
Reconcile data points
Before objects from the controller can be used in the system, they have to be imported. This process is refered to as “Reconciliation”, as data points will be updated if they already exist, or deleted if they are no longer present on the controller. You can choose to reconcile individual objects, all objects from a collection, or all objects from the controller.
Reconcile individual objects
Select a collection on the left, and then use the checkboxes on the left of each row to select the object you want to reconcile. Then click on Reconcile at the top right.
Reconcile objects from one or all collections
Select a collection on the left and then click on More ▸ Reconcile Collection to reconcile objects from the selected collection, or on Reconcile Device to reconcile objects from all collection on the device.
Note that the objects in the collection with the name BuildingState
will be ignored in this process.
