Introduction
If you regularly place the same shapes on your schematics, or if you want to have a more consistent layout across your schematics, you can use master pages.
Master pages can have a fixed size and a background color, and they can also contain shapes – just like regular schematics. However, master pages can be assigned to schematics, where they are displayed in the background. If you want to make changes to the layout of the master page, just change it once, and it will automatically affect all schematics where the master page is used.
You can assign multiple master pages to a single schematic which gives you more flexibility to layer them on top of one another. Master pages are always drawn at the bottom of the page, and shapes that are placed on the schematic itself are placed on top of these master pages.
Edit master pages
You can access the master page editor by first clicking on a schematic widget on your dashboard and go into edit mode by clicking on Edit in the action bar at the top. Then open the More menu and click on Master Pages, provided the function has been enabled for you. If you do not yet have a schematic widget, simply create one (see Widgets).
