Avelon Shop

If you are authorized to manage devices in your Avelon account, you can purchase additional devices and licenses to extend your infrastructure.

Click on your user name at the top right and then on Shop.

Purchase additional devices

Click on the button Purchase Additional Devices to purchase additional devices. You will be forwarded to the Avelon Shop. Simply add one or multiple devices to your cart and proceed with checkout.

The devices will then be shipped to you within a couple of business days.

After receiving the products, you have to register each of them as explained in the quick installation guide that is included in the box.

If you bought professional licenses with the device, you need to assign these licenses to the device. However, this only applies to IoT devices, not Beetle. See Assign licenses to a device below for more detais.

Purchase license extensions for a single device

Click on the button License Extension for Single Device if you want to buy professional licenses for a single device. In the list that appears below, click on Shop on the far right of the appropriate device. You will be forwarded to a special page on the Avelon Shop where you can select additional licenses for the device.

Once checkout is complete, the licenses will be automatically assigned to your device, and they’re ready to go.

If you want to cancel the checkout process or visit any other page on our website, please click on the button Abort Process.

Purchase license extensions for multiple devices

Click on the button License Extension for Multiple Devices if you want to buy professional licenses for a bunch of IoT devices of the same type.

Select the appropriate device type from the list. You will find the exact model of your devices on their corresponding configuration page under Model. You will be forwarded to a special page on the Avelon Shop where you can select additional licenses for the selected device type.

Once checkout is complete, the licenses will be added to your Avelon account. Afterwards, you’ll have to assign these licenses to the appropriate devices. See Assign licenses to a device below for more details about that.

Purchase support hours

Advanced technical support from Avelon requires you to purchase support hours in advance. Click on the button Purchase Support Hours and you will be redirected to the Avelon webshop, where you can purchase a specific amount of support hours. To see an overview of all available and spent support hours, click on your user name at the top right and then on Settings, and go to the Support tab.

Purchase licenses without an Avelon account

If you purchase devices or licenses from the Avelon Shop without logging into Avelon Cloud (or if you don’t have an Avelon account in the first place), proceed as follows:

Register the devices according to the quick installation guide that is included in the box. You will be asked to log in or create a new Avelon account in the process.
Once you have registered all your devices, proceed with Redeem an activation code below.

Redeem an activation code

If you have an activation code on your invoice, order confirmation or packing slip, you can use this to link the purchased licenses to your Avelon account.

Log in to Avelon Cloud.
Click on your user name at the top right and then on Shop.
Click on Redeem Activation Code at the top right and enter the activation code from your invoice.

The licenses will now be linked to your Avelon account.

You’ll now have to assign these licenses to your devices. See Assign licenses to a device below for more details.

Assign licenses to a device

Once your new licenses are linked to your Avelon account, you can assign them to the devices. Click on your user name at the top right and then on Devices.

Assign licenses to a single device

If you want to assign licenses to a single device, click on it. On the following page, scroll down to the Licenses card and expand it. Click on Assign License, select your license from the dropdown and click Assign. If you bought several licenses for the same device, repeat these steps for each license. You can see that the licenses were assigned correctly if the word “Free” is no longer added to the license name, and the color of the bar next to it changes from green to blue.

Assign licenses to multiple devices of the same type

If you want to assign licenses to multiple device, make sure you’re currently on the details view. The devices should be displayed in a table. If not, click on Details at the top right. Select the checkbox at the far left of the table for each device that you want to include. Only select devices with the same type though, as licenses are not interchangeable between several device types. Click on More at the top right and then on Assign IoT License. Select your license from the dropdown and click Assign. If you bought several licenses for the same device type, repeat these steps for each license.
