Keyboard shortcuts

General

The following keyboard shortcuts work on the Schematic and Meter Network widgets as well as the Calculated Data Points view in device management.

Action	Shortcut
Move shape up by 10 pixels.	Arrow key up `↑`
Move shape down by 10 pixels.	Arrow key down `↓`
Move shape to the left by 10 pixels.	Arrow key left `←`
Move shape to the right by 10 pixels.	Arrow key right `→`
Rename shape	`F2` or double click
Rename shape in multiple languages	`⇧ Shift` + `F2` or double click
Cancel dragging shape or drawing polygon.	`Esc`
Temporarily switch to the pan tool while the selection tool is enabled.	Hold `Space` or `Alt` while dragging the page with the left mouse button .
Scroll the page up and down while using selection tool.	Mouse wheel
Scroll the page left and right while using selection tool.	`Ctrl` + mouse wheel
Open the context menu for manipulating shapes.	Right mouse button
Select or deselect multiple shapes.	Hold `⇧ Shift`, `Ctrl` or `⌘` while selecting shapes with the left mouse button .
Select all shapes.	`Ctrl` + `A`
Copy the selected shapes into the clipboard.	`Ctrl` + `C`
Cut the selected shapes.	`Ctrl` + `X`
Paste previously copied shapes.	`Ctrl` + `V`
Delete the selected shapes.	`Delete`

Action	Shortcut
Resize shape proportionally.	Hold `⇧ Shift` while resizing a shape by dragging its corner handles.
Ignore grid while resizing.	Hold `Ctrl` while resizing a shape.

Action	Shortcut
Focus a connection so that both shapes at both ends are shown.	Hold `⇧ Shift` while clicking on a connection with the left mouse button
Open search box.	`Ctrl` + `F`, or `F3`
Close search box.	`Esc`
Jump to the next matching shape (while search box is open).	`↵ Enter` or `↓`
Jump to the previous matching shape (while search box is open).	`⇧ Shift` + `↵ Enter` or `↑`
Drill down in view mode and show only shapes connected to the selected shape.	In view mode, hold `Ctrl` while clicking on a shape with the left mouse button
Navigate to the reference shape page.	In edit mode, hold `Ctrl` while clicking on a shape with the left mouse button
Navigate to the reference shape page and center the shape.	In edit mode, hold `Ctrl` + `⇧ Shift` while clicking on a shape with the left mouse button

Action	Shortcut
Adjust the chart width, and hence the horizontal spacing between shapes.	`⇧ Shift` + `→` / `⇧ Shift` + `←`
Adjust the chart height, and hence the height of the individual nodes.	`⇧ Shift` + `↑` / `⇧ Shift` + `↓`
Drill down in view mode and show only shapes connected to the selected shape.	In view mode, hold `Ctrl` while clicking on a shape with the left mouse button
