Time mask
Time masks are used to evaluate data only at certain time intervals. They work similar to masks in image processing; where the mask is empty (“black” or “off”), the measurement values are ignored.
A time mask is based on one week with a total of seven entries; one for each weekday. It is automatically applied to all weeks within the chart interval.
Manage time masks
Open the time mask editor by clicking Configure time masks.
All available time masks are listed on the left side. Time masks are available system wide. So when you create a new time mask, it can then be applied to any chart on any dashboard.
Changes are saved automatically.
Configuring a new time mask
To create and configure a new time mask:
Click Add Time Mask at the bottom left.
Give the new time mask a meaningful name, e.g. “Workday”, “Workweek” or “Night shift”.
Below, click in an empty area inside any of the seven weekday grids to add a time interval in which measurement values are to be taken into account.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until the time mask is set up. All changes are saved automatically. Then click on Close to exit the time mask editor.
If you want to edit an existing time interval, just click on it. To resize an existing interval, you can simply drag and drop its left or right edge respectively.
