Configuration
To set up a slide show, place a Slide Show widget on a dashboard of your choice (see Widgets).
The slide show can then be configured by clicking the Edit button on the corresponding widget while in the edit mode of the dashboard.
The following settings affect all dashboards in your slide show:
- Name
Give the slide show a meaningful name.
- Language and Region
Select the language in which you want to display the slide show.
- Data Point Display
Select how to display data points in the widgets of the slide show.
- Slide Show URL
Copy this URL to start the slide show in any browser. This link is public, i.e. no authentication is required to open it.
Add dashboards to the slide show
On the left, select the group from which you want to add a dashboard to the slide show. The list to the right of that shows all dashboards of the selected group.
Drag the dashboard you want from this list to the table on the right.
Specify how long the dashboard should be displayed by entering the desired duration in seconds in the Duration [s] column.
In the Transition column, select the transition animation to be used when the dashboard is shown.
Playing and publishing slide shows
To test the slide show, you can click the Play Slide Show button directly in the configuration screen. The slide show is automatically opened on a new browser tab.
If you want to start the slide show on a public computer or send it by email, simply copy the displayed link to the clipboard using the Copy Link to Clipboard button. When the link is entered in a browser, the slide show starts automatically and can then also be switched to full screen mode. This link allows unprotected access to the slide show, meaning no user authentication is required to play the slide show.
Warning
With the link to a slide show, you grant third parties read access to the dashboards placed on it and the groups that contain those dashboards. For security reasons, we recommend that you set up the slide show and all the dashboards on it in a separate group directly below your customer account and do not add dashboards to that group that are not intended for the public.
