Reconcile Modem properties

To be able to use properties from the Modem daemon on widgets, they must first be transferred to the system and synchronized (reconciled) with the Avelon database.

Reconcile individual properties

To reconcile specific individual properties, select them in the Modem property list. To do this, activate the selection box next to the respective property on the left-hand side. Then click on Reconcile Selected Objects at the top right. The selected properties are then reconciled.

Reconcile all Modem properties of a device

To reconcile all Modem properties of the selected device, click on More above the sidebar on the left and then on Reconcile Device.

Reconcile properties

Two different comparison strategies are available to enable the system to assign the Modem properties to the existing data points:

Reconcile by ID

The reconciliation takes place by the property’s instance number.

Reconcile by Name

The reconciliation takes place by the property’s name.

Since both the instance number and the name of the Modem properties are static, it doesn’t matter which of these option you choose.

After selecting the reconciliation option, a preview of the potential changes is displayed. This does not change any data. The preview shows all data points that will be either created, changed or deleted by the reconciliation. Use the tabs in the action bar at the top to toggle between the three different views.

If the changes displayed are correct, you can start the reconciliation by clicking on Reconcile at the top right.
